Webinar on Environmentally Meaningful and Sustainable Development

Welcome to talk series as part of ASSOCHEM GEM’s (Gujarat Chapter) Efforts to Spread Awareness and Generate Discussions on Environmentally Meaningful and Sustainable Development

ASSOCHEM GEM is the first INDEGENOUS green building certification program, based on BEE ECBC 2017 and NBC 2016, also the first one to have fire and life safety as mandatory requirement. A simplified system not relying on certified building material nor on calculations based on documentations with the aim to reduce cost, it has the added innovative component of online real-time monitoring of GEM certified buildings.

GEM is also working to liaison with authorities to encourage and reward certified green buildings as well as spread awareness about sustainable development among all through webinars and sustainability workshops.

THE SPEAKER

Chitra Vishwanath is Managing Director and Principal Architect at Biome Environmental Solutions Bangalore India.

For Chitra, “the Architecture is moving beyond creating physical spaces to trying to create ecosystems. The built is to be a positive part of the environment”.

Her passion is to work with ecosystem design and create simple agile solutions that can be handled by community participation and low-level technology.
